One Step at a Time

so i found these on my computer from a longgg time ago. like freshman/sophomre year. i like them a lot. most of them are from when i would walk home from school everyday or walk to my sewing class. they were taken with my old crap digital camera. but oh wells.

they reminded me of how i've been taking life recently one step at a time. mostly my recovery i mean. it's been a longggg and painful road. but thinking back to when it first happened, it seems like foreverrr ago. i'm so happy and proud of how far i've come. i didn't think i could do it. but i could and i did. there's still more progress to be done. i've got to keep taking it step by step but i'll get there eventually...wherever there is. i guess it's when i can do everything i used to be able to do. not having to be paranoid about hurting it. mmm that sounds so nice. and i'm so excited :)

Nature Walks

another AWESOME and memorable weekend :)
friday night-jacuzzi, Love Happens, and YouTube vids with Kass and Jess
saturday- all day competition at Saugus. got to see my dad. and spend goood quality time with the boys...obviously :) we had a ton of fun and i loved taking sweet pics of them all! we bonded and talked and talked and talked. i loved it! :)
then dance team party at trevor's house for angel's b-day. we had so much fun (these guys never stop being fun) and i became friends with Karyl P!
sunday- me kaila, and kassie ditched sunday school and walked down the street and took a billion pics on my camera phone :) it was soo much fun. cold and windy and a pain in the butt to send them all from my phone to fb but so worth it :)
i wish every weekend was like this!

like riding a bike

so i was talking to my friend Christian a few weeks ago. he asked me when i'd be able to start dancing again. i told him what i've been telling everyone-"i don't know."
it was really sad because he told me that he can't really remember how i dance. he knows that i was good, but he can barely picture it anymore.
then he told me "it's okay, you'll get back into it. and when you, it'll be like riding a bike."

he's right. at least, i hope he's right.
i know i'm gonna be scared to do things like leap and turn on that leg,
but it'll get easier.
i know it.

these paintings are so beautiful. i love the movement and colors in them. i love the portrayal of juliet. i love the Boreas painting because it reminds me of a picture of Mary that i love. these women look so strong and innocent and like they have so many stories and secrets inside of them. i love these paintings, and obviously John William Waterhouse is a genius.

Friday Night:

good session of physical therapy. my leg is getting stronger! i can feel my muscles and they're actually hard! :D
then, Dear John with Sarah and Levia. it was a pretty good movie, but not exactly what i expected. it felt empty and like nothing really impactful happened. i hate walking away from a movie and feeling...bored...you know?
it wasn't even 10 PM yet, and every food place in TO was closed! on a friday night! it was pathetic. but have no fear, Toppers to the rescue!! as always.

Saturday:

advanced's first competition for tarzan! i went to claremont early with the team. our car was me, bryce, steven, josh, and joseph. my favorite boys on team :) i sat in the back between josh and steven. they kept me warm haha and we all had fun. it was a looongg day of dancing and costumes and sitting around and eating brownies and cookies. but it was fun and successful, almost all of our dances places very well. woo!! then we went to carls jr (my football sized burger was too much to handle in the darkness of the back seat of the moving car), me and steven cuddled in the back seat while watching pineapple express on his ipod, then went home.
i went over to the bombergs and we watched Just Friends. but i was falling asleep so i decided to go home to crash.

Sunday:

SUPERBOWL SUNDAY! SAIINTTSSS!!!wooooo! such a great game! love. i was stoked in the last quarter when they picked it up and showed the colts what they're made of. so happy :)

i can't wait for this weekend!!
LA and another comp on saturday, then SAN DIEGO on Monday!!!! even if its just for a few hours, it is soo worth it and will help ease the longing i feel for it everyday.
