Scattered

The rain poured down on the other side of the big windows.
the highly scented candle made popping noises.
the storm drains overflowed.
cheers came from the tv.
the flame grew smaller.
first down.
ice on my knee.
the flame got big for one last time.
the rain calmed down.
i watched the flame burn out.
the rain picked up again.
touchdown.
